Milan Odontostomatology: The treatment plan in aesthetic area on natural teeth and implants. Timing and operational strategies is organized by MCA Scientific Events and will be held on Oct 27, 2018 at Polispecialistico Lambrate SRL, Milan, Lombardia, Italy. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 8 ECM credits. Conference Description: Starting from the execution of a correct diagnosis, the course aims to provide the basis for setting up an adequate surgical and prosthetic treatment plan in the rehabilitations of the aesthetic sectors. The route is divided into two moments (morning and afternoon) dedicated to natural teeth and implants. During each of these two parts, we will begin with an in-depth analysis of the various situations that the clinician can face in the rehabilitations of the aesthetic zones. This first diagnostic phase will be followed by two sessions dedicated to surgery and prosthetics, both on natural teeth and on implants. The most up-to-date surgical and prosthetic operative strategies for the management of high aesthetic value cases will be discussed here. The course therefore aims to provide a standardized and reproducible operative protocol in everyday clinical practice, but at the same time allows to obtain satisfactory aesthetic results for the clinician and the patient. Why to Participate?: • To learn how to evaluate the maintainability of dental elements in a clinical case that requires a therapy aimed at aesthetic and functional restoration. • To have a complete overview of the modern regeneration techniques of periodontal and peri-implantal hard and soft tissues usable in areas of high aesthetic value, clarifying the indications and limits of each. • To learn how to easily define the timing of complex therapies that require close interdisciplinarity. Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.

Theoretical And Practical Course on Biopsy Procedures Useful in the Histopathologic Diagnosis of Rheumatic Diseases is organized by AIM Group International - Milan Office and will be held from Nov 05 - 07, 2018 at University Hospital Senese, Siena, Tuscany, Italy. Course Description: The course targets mainly to specialists rheumatologists who want to acquire the technical capacity to properly implement some fundamental biopsies (synovial membrane, skin and subcutaneous tissue, skeletal muscle, salivary glands, blood vessels). The course will focus primarily on biopsy procedures, and its proper requests, in order to implement the various techniques, particularly in relation to the preparation of the patient, the implementation of the biopsy procedure and handling and/or storage of the samples to be sent to the pathologist. The course will, therefore, have three main purposes: • to define the exact role of biopsy procedures useful in the histopathologic diagnosis of rheumatic diseases (indications, appropriateness of requests, contraindications). In particular, the diagnostic guidelines of the main clinical manifestations suggestive of a rheumatic disease must be defined with reference to the role that histological definition of the disease process can play. • Practical training to acquire the skills needed to perform both appropriateness and safety, biopsy procedures on the various structures of the musculoskeletal system (muscle, synovium), skin and minor salivary glands. • Improve knowledge on the histopathological features of the most important localizations in the course of rheumatic diseases Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
Nov 05 - 10, 2018 | EUR €550 | Rome, Lazio
EMBO Practical Course: Computational analysis of protein-protein interactions: Sequences, networks and diseases is organized by European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and will be held from Nov 05 - 10, 2018 at National Research Council, Rome, Lazio, Italy. Recent growth in protein-protein interaction (PPI) data provides massive opportunities for gaining biological insights, including the characterization of protein complexes and pathways. Many tools and resources exist to analyse and disseminate these data, but often bench scientists are not trained in them. In particular, they need to learn how to explore, manage, and interconnect these datasets. Given the importance of such techniques in several biomedical science disciplines, there is a major need for training in relevant tools without which bench scientists risk missing important insights from their own data. This EMBO Practical Course aims to train participants in bioinformatics techniques for gaining a network perspective on PPIs, predicting and analyzing them, highlighting differences between globular (protein "domains") and non-globular (intrinsically disordered peptide) modules, and working with large datasets. Ideal participants for this course are bench scientists who are working to obtain data related to protein-protein interactions, or already have such data they want to analyze. One of the focuses of this course will be teaching the importance of PPIs in biological systems, and how bioinformatics tools can be harnessed for understanding and controlling physiological states and when these states are perturbed by disease. Keeping these aspects into consideration, disease datasets are integrated into the training materials. We initially focus on predicting PPI modules from protein sequences, highlighting differences (structure, function, and bioinformatics) between globular protein "domains" and non-globular intrinsically-disordered peptide regions, the latter being rich in short protein-binding regions involved in signal transduction and other functions. Understanding the differing roles these modules play in PPIs is key to unravelling the dynamism and complexity of cellular systems. The course ends by focusing on large PPI datasets, emphasizing a network perspective. The overall impact of the course is enhanced by giving the trainees opportunities to analyse their own data in the presence of expert trainers, who are also the developers of aforementioned tools. Significant time is allocated for trainees to apply the skills learnt in the course to their own data with the trainers in attendance. Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
International Course on Joint Aspiration, Joint Injections and Synovial Fluid Analysis 2018 is organized by AIM Group International - Milan Office and will be held from Nov 07 - 08, 2018 at Scuola Grande di San Marco, Venice, Veneto, Italy. The target audience for this medical event is Specialists interested in MSDs, Physiotherapists, Nurses and Trainees.
